Celia Crompton

Coach Celia brings over 12 years of fencing experience to the piste, with an impressive record that includes earning national points in multiple age groups (Y14, Cadet, Junior, and Div 1) and achieving an A rating by her junior year of high school. Before college, she honed her skills at international youth events, training camps, and even a Senior World Cup.

Throughout her competitive career, Coach Celia has consistently placed at top national events, including top 16 finishes at Summer Nationals in Cadet and Div 1A events, and multiple medals in senior team events, such as a silver medal at the 2018 December NAC women's foil team event.

As a varsity fencer for Northwestern's women's team, Coach Celia compiled an impressive 82-23 record and led her team to a second-place finish at the 2023 Absolute Fencing NCAA Invitational in Hong Kong. She also placed 11th at the 2023 Central Collegiate Fencing Championships.

A certified Moniteur in foil, Coach Celia combines her extensive competitive experience with technical expertise to deliver expert instruction. Currently pursuing her Master's in Social Work at the University of Michigan, Coach Celia finds joy in coaching as a way to support others in achieving their goals. With her extensive competitive experience at the regional, national, and international levels, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her classes and lessons.
